You have to have music in your heart and in your soul. You have to want to do it every day.
Bobby Jordan has only left New Orleans once, and that was because Hurricane Katrina forced him to evacuate. After six weeks the need to play music brought him back, and likewise, New Orleans needed the music.
Bobby and Lisa Jordan own and manage the band Bobby J & Stuff Like That, who have been playing at events throughout the city of New Orleans for 25 years. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship: “Imagine walking down Bourbon Street with no music. Small businesses need each other. We have to work together.”
Hear it straight from the mouths of Bobby J & Stuff Like That in this short film.
