“It’s at the point where we’ve got to turn the corner, because the well is dry.”
From the minute you step into Morrison’s Irish Pub you feel like you’re transported to Ireland. From the décor, to the wide selection of Irish whiskeys, to the traditional Irish fare, this feels like a traditional Irish Public House. Lisa, Mary and Katey opened Morrison’s in 2015 because they wanted to bring a piece of Ireland back to Alton. If you walk into the pub on a Friday or Saturday, when it is standing room only, you’d wonder why they need help. However, on weekdays, they’re lucky to get people in and summer is incredibly slow, because not many people want heavy Irish fare when the temperatures hit above 90 degrees outside.
A few months before the Small Business Revolution came to town, Lisa, Mary and Katey sat down and talked about closing, they just couldn’t sustain the pub anymore. That’s when they decided to apply to be featured in Season 3. They need to get customers in the door and they’re hoping Deluxe marketing experts can help. The ladies from Morrison’s Irish Pub bring plenty of fun, heart and whiskey to this year’s cast.
